– Sugars for Exfoliation: –

Skin, the largest organ of the body, can circulate more efficiently when it is regularly exfoliated. Exfoliation, or the removal of dead skin cells, should be done on a regular basis. It is a process that makes skin look and feel healthier by improving circulation and ridding it of toxins. Exfoliation also increases the production of collagen that gives skin its tone and elasticity. Sugar scrubs are the most natural products to exfoliate the skin with – they are mild and help to gently remove dead skin cells.

Sugar contains two important components, glycolic acid and alpha hydroxy acid. These components help to maintain perfect oil balance in the skin. As a result, they will not allow your skin to become too dry or too oily.

Brown Sugar

Sucrose
Pink Himalayan Salt

Brown sugar has tiny particles that provide just the right amount of texture to gently exfoliate the skin. It has the ability to clean and tighten pores giving the skin a more even and uniform appearance; pores look smaller, which ultimately leads to a more even skin tone. Also, it can diminish the damage to the skin caused by acne and other skin conditions.

Pure Cane Raw Sugar

Sucrose

In the past sugar was known as “white gold” because it was a rare and an expensive commodity recognized as a natural humectant, meaning it draws moisture from the environment into the skin. Also, pure raw sugar is a natural source of glycolic acid, an alpha hydroxy acid (AHA) that penetrates the skin and breaks down the “glue” that bonds skin cells, encouraging cell turnover and generating fresher looking skin. Glycolic acid can also help to treat sun-damaged skin.
